IN THE BEGINNING.....
THE BAND

On 30th August, 1986, The 6Ts made their debut. Along with a trusty Ford Transit, a hundred watt P. A. System and no lights it was, to say the least, an inauspicious beginning.  The years since then have been a roller coaster ride, a diverse game of snakes and ladders with plenty of highs and a few lows too.
There have been several changes in our line-up and over the years we have said goodbye (for various reasons) to three fine guitarists, Dick Parkhouse, Mick Mepham and Andy Leany, as well as vocalist extraordinaire Bruce Cameron.
It was on IOth July, 1993 that the  three-piece that now exists, featuring “new boy” Harry Randall, performed for the first time, and this line-up has developed into what we believe is a great band, better than we could have ever imagined when we created The 6Ts all those years ago.
In interviews we have often been asked why we formed The 6Ts. Well, before everyone else Jumped on the band-wagon, we realised that there was a large audience out there wishing the 60s musical traditions to continue and we relished the challenge of starting a new band as we missed playing 60s music.
We had all started our musical careers in the 60s, playing what was the chart material of the time, and having each explored various avenues of music, It is rewarding to have come full circle back to the music we love the most.
Because we were part of the original 60s scene, we can proudly boast that our music today is played and performed exactly as it was in that wonderful decade.
There have been many memorable times during our history.  Some shows where the band almost outnumbered the audience, are best forgotten, but the majority ot our gigs fill us with enormous pride.  It shows in our performance that we enjoy playing.  We have a lot of fun, and our audiences do too, and we look forward to many more great times ahead.
Let the roller coaster ride continue, and here´s to more ladders than snakes!
